With our huge passion for developmental play, we are naturally a big fan of magnetic toys. After all, magnetism is a wonderfully interesting physical phenomenon that captures children's imagination enormously. With the amazing increase in popularity of various magnetic play materials, we wondered if there were ways to move magnetic play to the wall to offer children an expansion in artistic and magnetic play opportunities.
When we started looking for a magnetic play board or magnetic wall board, we couldn't find anything that met our aesthetic standards as well as safety requirements. Most magnetic boards were those dull white shiny boards you find in offices. We wanted a magnetic play board for on the wall with a fun shape that appeals to children, in beautiful colours that fit into the professional interiors of a day-care centre or school, but would also look great in a restaurant, hotel or medical facility, such as a dentist practice or a hospital.
What's not there can be made, we thought. So we made a technical drawing, called around within our network, presented our plans, asked for quotations and looked at many colour samples. To make a sufficiently powerful magnetic board for the wall, it had to be made of steel. Nothing so annoying when you are playing and your creations falls down.
The bow-shaped magnetic wall plate was born and we called it a 'Magna Bow’. It's designed based on the idea that every child is a ‘tiny artist’. This innovative wall-mounted magnetic bow offers children an expansion in artistic and magnetic play opportunities as we envisioned from the very beginning. From their own imagination and creativity, tiny artists can create colourful structures, repeating patterns, imaginative constructions and unique works of art with a diversity of magnetic play materials.
The Magna Creations - magnetic wall board is an asset for the (magnetic) construction corner in childcare and/or day-care centres, after school care but also for kindergartens, play corners in shops, hotels and restaurants or waiting rooms of (medical) practices. It takes up little space and is attractive for children aged 1 to 10.
